I worked for Pizza the Hut in a bad neighborhood in Denver. We blacklisted an entire apartment complex because you were more likely to get robbed than not. We had 2 drivers the same night get robbed.

The managers brilliant solution? Have them meet you at the 7-11 across the street. Because you want to be rob-proof you think of 7-11 immediately.

I remember a story about a regular customer at (dominos?) Who ordered the same thing every day and then abruptly didn't for a couple days. The driver thought it was odd and swung by and she had some medical thing. I'm pretty sure he saved her life by checking in on her.

That's a pretty easy joke to make but if I remember correctly. She was an old lady who would order one of the sandwiches and a 20 oz diet coke and probably just wanted to talk to another human being.

I actually never considered what overly sensitive people in other countries called black people. Kinda blew my mind right now.

For the record, I know a bunch of black people. They usually know that they are black and aren't too shocked when you call them black.

You reminded me of a story. I worked with a South African who hated back people. Openly. (I didn't realize that was a thing until later)

I couldn't place the accent so I asked where he was from. He told me and I said "Aren't you technically African American?" He turned red and stormed off. We didn't talk much after.
