haha yes we do need a logo, I'm sure we could come up with some pretty cool hats. I'm glad you could handle the stress. This was my first ever surgery so I didn't take it so well, but it sounds like you're a pro.

Do you live near Johns Hopkins? If so, why didn't you get the MRI's done there, especially with their apparent expertise with your condition?

Just curious because I had a similar situation. I live in Boston and had my first MRI done at Boston Medical Center because it's the closest to my apartment. Once I realized something was really wrong, I got out of there (the ER was full of all drug overdoses, homeless, and then some, plus I didn't get a good vibe from the doc) and ended up having surgery at Mass General. I think in the future I will put a lot more thought into where I set up initial appointments.

Fellow unplanned brain surgery survivor here, glad to here things seemed to go well. I think you have the cooler scar, mines just a straight line on the back of my head.

Did you find you were more nervous for the surgeries that were planned well in advance? I feel like the one benefit of the unexpected is you barely have time to worry.
