When you started acting, could you possibly have anticipated that shows like Orange would emerge to give you real material to work with, or were you somewhat resigned to playing "Comic Relief Butch Dyke #1" and collecting a paycheck? What role other than Boo are you most proud of? Also, St. Louis metro area represent.

I think Hirst can be forgiven for answering the question of historical authenticity as he does, as to prevent an implication of "just made all this shit up". I think "accuracy" is a fairly overvalued aspect of historical fiction. Henry Percy was not a direct peer of Harry Monmouth, and the latter not a wasterel... but the story Shakespeare told has proven more useful to generations than any more precise chronicle...

How frustratong is it to be castable as "That Indian"... (Big Love, etc)?

Would it perhaps be fair to say that Mr. Hirst was taking his source materials seriously, and simply not interrogating them as thoroughly as an historian might? Akin to a faithful retelling of the "historical story" of St. Christopher, or an ancient medical drama starring Hippocrates?

I.E. - Faithfully telling the stories ascribed to Lothbrok, if somewhat uncritically (because it's a TV show)?

So Deep Web... Do you have a script already? Are you dealing with the actual events, or fictionalizing them? If the former, are you worried about having to pay folks for rights? If you have a script, how does it toe the line between being too simplified to please the target demo/actually tell the story and too esoteric for the mass market?
