Say you really like to use Bing as your search provider. (obviously hypothetical situation) As it was, you could use Bing or Google and both would be as fast as your connection and the connection of the company. Now with the new ruling, if Google offers to pay Verizon enough, they can throttle your connection to Bing to make Google much faster. Not a huge issue with search engines but imagine the same scenario with a video hosting site like YouTube or something.

Chicago might be interesting. Due to the long history of red-lining districts, it's still one of the most segregated major cities. I've lived in Illinois all my life and the separation between black and white folks is pretty strong to this day. Plus you've got the heated war on the South Side only miles away from multi-million dollar condos, etc.
