In ancient times it was thought that being good at Go could make you a skilled strategist or tactician in warfare. Those of you who have been playing Go for a long time, are there any skills, ideas or philosophies Go has taught you that you feel are applicable elsewhere in life as well?

In BBCE you had much better control over which skills you wanted to be optional or not. Sometimes you don't want to use tackle when doing chain-pushes and want the opponent to remain standing for example, and on the other side you might not want to use dodge in that situation. Also, you might not want to use Pass to reroll an inaccurate pass because of the risk of fumbling. Is this something that could come back?
