I have a vivid memory of standing at the back door of my parents' house one winter, watching the snow with my dad. There was a mourning dove sitting on the roof of a garden shed in our neighbour's yard. It was all very quiet and peaceful, and then BAM, some sort of hawk just hammers into the mourning dove - it must have been absolutely squashed. It flapped for a moment, and then took off, and there was a giant imprint of its wings in the snow of the roof.

We just kind of stood there in silence, and then about 20 seconds later, a single down feather gently floated from the top corner of our back doors to the bottom corner opposite, maybe six inches away. Thirty feet away from where the birds had been.

I don't know why, but we laughed ourselves breathless.

Doesn't the sheer fact that they can arbitrarily raise speeds in an area suggest that TWC is shortchanging its customers on what they could be getting?

Perhaps for sake of argument we could say a badminton birdie.
