So the waking world is just a carrot dangling on a string in front of us? We become fixated on it, and lose sight of all the other weird mumbo jumbo going on?

I always enjoy catching a baby or a toddler looking at me in public, and just non-nonchalantly make a goofy face at them. Usually gets a smile.

This is exactly why I cherish my ability to dream so much. I was actually writing about this this last week. I feel horrible for people who say they are unable to dream, or have bland dreams. I feel that sleep and the ability to dream, and to dream up big events, adds depth and enrichment to the waking world.

Dreams are very funny business, and they are absolutely fun to look back on. Do they have significance, or not? Do they serve a true purpose? I feel that dreams make for a great reflection tool. If you were presented a problem in a dream, how did you react to the situation? Would you have done something different?

I enjoy lucid dreaming, and I've gone through sleep paralysis episodes in the past, and it is through these experiences that I respect the power of the human brain. It is very capable, and it is interesting to see what you can do with it.

I can't imagine staying awake for 15-20 days. It seems like it'd be eternity, but who knows what sort of state you'd be in during it.
