Your knowledge (and apparently extensive skill) in hot and cold readings would be helpful in identifying when/how somebody is using such tactics.
I.e. some fraud comes along claiming psychic powers and stumps a panel of people attempting to debunk said fraud. You spot what tactic the fraud is using, and bingo bango, bob's your uncle.
