For light snow, I always use a sturdy house broom. Less strenuous than a snow shovel and works just as quick for small amounts ( less than 5" or so) of snow.

The one I have I just got at walmart. The brand is Libman. It is plastic but not flimsy. As long as you don't go crazy you'll be fine.

Here is a link for anyone interested

Edit: Platinum to plastic, because of my sausage fingers.

This is accurate. I have worked for walmart for two years. As regular employees, we are only allowed to do what they call "digressive customer service" when we see someone stealing. We are told to contact a manager, who then contacts LP. At the store that I work at, LP is only 3 people at any given time, with one person posted at each door and a third watching cameras. As far as I know, the cameras in our store were upgraded with a recent remodel, so they have extremely high definition and most can swivel. At night, we have one third-party security guard posted at the only unlocked door.

I work near the electronics department at night, so I am the only person besides a manager with the keys to open all the locked items. Customers are usually irritated that we have to keep things locked up. But walmart is very strict in telling employees how to prevent theft. When I have the keys, I cannot leave them unattended for any amount of time, and doing so is an automatic write-up. They either have to be on my person, with a manager, or locked in the office. Additionally, if a customer wants a locked item, we do not let them take to the front by themselves. We have to walk it up and give it to the cashier.

What if... the clock was always just a figurative way to communicate the danger we could be in, and was never anything objective at all?

I guess this "Ask me anything" is more of a "Ask and I won't answer anything"
