What irks me the most about the finale is the fact that it wasn't just that, a finale. No answers were reached, no storylines closed, nothing. There was no resolution to the Negan intro and Rick' actions against his group.
I'm not focused on how season 7 will start. I'm focused on how terrible season 6 was, from start to finish. Morgan's character has had legs cut out from under him, and is hated by most of the fan base. The romantic storylines are horrifically forced and not necessary. Some once prominent characters are now virtually non-existent.
Better Call Saul recently ended their second season and did it absolutely perfectly. Most of the ongoing storylines were concluded, but new ones were raised, and there was a perfectly done cliffhanger that did not leave the viewer unsatisfied, but did raise further questions and progress the storyline without a sufficient answer.
And not to rant, but it's such a weak argument to say that we will "love" Season 7 if we stick around. What reason do we have? This show has proved time and again to be too meek and meager when it comes character deaths, especially major characters. I mean Jesus Christ, the last character of relative importance to die was Tyrese and that was over a season ago.
You say that the energy hasn't been sucked out of the scene and that we will be affected next season. There was zero resolution to that scene. Nothing happened, and that did, in fact, suck out the emotion. We know someone dies, it's not going to be shocking. We will see who it was when the show comes back and that will be that and the show will move on. There's no mystique. You opted for a hashtag movement (#whowasit) rather than a meaningful payoff for your fans.
I've watched this show for a long time now and it has never been as bad as it is now. This show is boring now. Nothing happens. Nothing goes anywhere. No storylines progress. There's too many plot holes, deus ex machina moments, or just plain lame shit. It's just a mess, a total mess. This turned out much longer than I thought but that's how I feel.
This show sucks.

Who do you think should replace Alex on the sad, sad day he returns to his own realm?

Hi Chad!
Big fan. As a fan of both the comic and television adaptions of the Walking Dead, you played the part of Tyrese beautifully. You were magnificently cast, and will always be one of the most interesting characters, as well as one of my personal favorites.
My question to you is this: Tyreese's death on the show was extremely gory, yet beautifully done. It was an extreme deviaton from the regular scenes of characters' death. Tyreese's final episdoe was very introspective, and we, as the audience, got to see what it was like for someone who had been fatally bit and what their process of thought is. What did you think of the episode? Was it what you expected while filming it and do you think that it did the character justice and rounded off his arc well? And besides your own, who's death on the show did you most "enjoy", so to speak, to see, both from an acting and production standpoint?
Thank you for your time, and for your role. You were simply fantastic.

"You applied first for the Defense Against the Darks Arts post, is that correct?"
"Yes."
"But you were unsuccessful?"
"Obviously..."
