FBI directors in recent history are anything but megalomaniacs. We won't have another Hoover at the FBI because Hoover was the FBI. Too many presidents gave him too much leeway, but we learn from our mistakes.

We might, however, get one in another agency. It might have already happened at the NSA, but they don't put themselves out there like the FBI did/does, so we may never know.

Staffed by conformists? Well... yeah.

We do not miss that moniker. Let's never mention it again.
