Game designer here (Halo series & Kinect). Psychology is a huge part of game design and it seems like you'll have a great head start in that department. Although if you're looking to get away from crazy people, the video game industry might not be the best place! (I kid). If that's where your passion lies, keep pursuing it! I highly suggest getting into the modding community and starting there. There are so many wonderful free resources that are available today!

In short, they announced recently that they’ll be suppressing anything they deem to be “propaganda”. Some people will like this, some people won’t, but the end result either way is the same- DDG is no longer neutral.

Follow up: do you honestly think results could ever be even close to reasonably balanced (for all of the reasons you mentioned), or will it become inevitably like our news which is becoming more and more extreme each year due to how they are directly incentivized to be that way (for clicks)? Is there any way to avoid these types of positive-feedback cycles?
