.... realising that this may seem rather insensitive, does the fact that it's an Arrested Development reference make it ok?

I always wondered where this lay in terms of morality. These people won't just not remember the events of Groundhog day, it won't have happened, in much the same way as killing someone in an alternate timeline that will shortly wink out of existence. How immoral is murder/rape on Groundhog day?

I mean, you know, the repeated ones, not just any old groundhog day for the rest of us non-Bill Murray schlubs.
