What's going on man? Big fan of the show, really enthralled by the whole thing, think every scene with you and Bacon is special and love how you own every room you're in.

I have a question about how actors view the plausible (or lack thereof) nature of the story line though? I am able to suspend disbelief for the 60 minutes every Monday night and enjoy the entertainment aspect immensely, but it's obvious there are some glaring plot holes, etc. Do those bother you? Do you think about it at all, or is it a supreme focus on your lines/your scenes/etc. and just controlling what you can control?

Thanks for the ama man.

I realize you said you left, but perhaps you'll check back.

I see in your comments you consistently talk about how evangelicals feel 'marginalized' and that their 'clout has waned'.

Did you ever ask them point blank how they imagine Homosexuals must feel. No one is claiming evangelicals are less than human, are sub-standard, should not be able to be married, hold certain jobs, etc. Do they compare their 'marginalization' (aka a fake one) with how they treat other human beings?

Have a lot of other questions as well, but figured I'd start here. I'm interested to hear how these folks can reconcile their behavior.

Edit: To the person that downvoted, I would LOVE for you to respond to me with what you took issue with. More than happy to have a measured, reasonable, logic-driven conversation. Please feel free to comment below.

  • Humans Have X Rights

  • Homosexuals are Humans

  • Homosexuals don't deserve X rights

Do the syllogism..

If you take issue with my wording, then you're really missing the point anyway (not that the wording was factually incorrect).

The point is.. 'they' believe, strongly, that homosexuals deserve less rights than heterosexuals. That is very clearly marginalizing their fellow men and women. So the question becomes.. how do they complain about their bigot-filled views being marginalized and rationalize how they treat other people much worse.

Almost cruel to offer up 'elysium on a plate' and then tell us we only have to go to Rome to enjoy it.

Someone grab Joe Carroll's computer hackers (who just own the FBI) and tell us the secret recipe!!!!!!!!!

Marriage, Ability to Adopt Kids, Ability to Serve in the Military, Ability to Serve as Teachers, Deny services, etc. etc.

If anything the below seems to obfuscate the issue. The majority of people in America believe a person has the right to marry anyone they love, not one select gender that makes Evangelical's feel comfortable, that's.. ya know.. the whole point.

I'm pretty sure evangelicals believe gay and straight people should have the same rights.

I.e., under their rules, a straight man is allowed to marry a woman. A gay man is allowed to marry a woman. A straight man is not allowed to marry a man. A gay man is not allowed to marry a man.

Marriage is one thing, but there are definitely more deeply rooted negative feelings about homosexuals and their place in the world by more stringent evangelicals. So far I've really on responded to the basic elements and left out the fringe.. but to pretend there isn't that fringe would also be a mistake.

Just as there are evangelicals, surely.. as the journalists study seems to report on, that no longer feel this way or have come to accept the basic humanity of actual equality in these arenas. (Although that seems like a sticking point for some, which is a conversation for another day.
