EDIT: Some extra reading in this comment section as well as some digging has made me lean more towards the opposite that I mention in the post below; apparently she's already been to the hospital and they deemed her issues to all stem from anxiety:

When I was at the hospital last, they decided all my issues were caused by anxiety. Maybe if I can prove that they’re NOT, and that I actually need help... maybe I can get somewhere then.

Correct me if I'm wrong but she did say that she could (and does) use a wheelchair, right? I don't think it's crazy to assume they took her out with her wheelchair. Also, the very bottom comment lines up with her story given it mentions mental and physical conditions/illnesses.

There's a part of me that thinks you might be right but then there's also a part of me that thinks, until we have further evidence, it's pretty risky calling BS. Even the tiniest possibility of dismissing someone's severe health issues whilst they are very mentally vulnerable is enough to not want to take the risk.

In all honesty, if I was in her situation (assuming it's real) and then I knew the internet - the one place I could find peace and a release - is now angry, untrusting, dismissive or generally rude then I'd probably end it all. It'd probably be the straw that breaks the camel's back. That risk isn't worth taking in my opinion. We should get more evidence before making such a claim.

Do you have any advice for me, someone who's quite young and doesn't want to cycle but wants to travel the world?

The only thing that has ever held me back is pricing and time. How do I earn the money to travel all the while not taking up a job which'll waste my time?
