How was the interdisciplinary machine learning work done? Many interdisciplinary machine learning papers in the earlier days were horrendously bad and claimed things like 99.5% detection rate of cancer tumors, by training a way oversized network on a small dataset with overlapping test, validation, training sets.
Is the basic understanding of machine learning principles generally higher among researchers, so these types of beginner errors can be catched, or how are they prevented from going into peer-reviewed papers undetected?

Ok. Have you ever taken a nude photo that was completely non sexual? Like family sitting together in a sauna or something that?
