My daughter said "you should do a episode where you go to afghanistan and bring a duckling to keep you company." so i did it.

That's so adorable!

I have no experience with HD, but I do have experience with advance directives. My mother became gravely ill very suddenly and had no chance of survival. My father and I decided to "pull the plug" and let her pass. What really helped us with this decision was that she told us while she was healthy that she'd want the plug pulled if she was ever in that situation. I'm sad that she's gone, but I'm glad that I was able to honor her wishes.

My dad has also given me legal documents outlining about what he wants done should he ever end up in a similar situation.

Please folks, take care of this shit while you're still mentally sound and healthy. Yes, it's hard to think about and getting legal documents is a pain in the ass, but your loved ones will very much appreciate your long-term planning later.

I spent some time living in a nursing home and this doesn't sound right at all. Assuming this isn't one huge troll, you need to challenge this. Start contacting supervisors and going up the chain of command.
