Is it true you're less likely to die in a car accident if you are inebriated due to the more relaxed state of the body and muscles?

Hey man, keep your head up, and as an avid basketball player myself, even just shooting around outside on a nice day can be really rewarding. My mom had scoliosis diagnosed when she was 17 years old. They straightened her spine through an extremely invasive surgery, and she was forced to spend an entire year in a bed in a body cast unable to move...this was the expected "treatment" at the time, and in order for the bones to properly set, one had to be bed ridden. An obsolete practice by only a year, but I think in the long run it was advantageous. Last spring, she underwent a second major surgery on her spinal cord to remove excess calcium and bone buildup from the site of the surgery (40 years ago) to relieve intolerable pain to a pinched nerve...this, somewhat successful, straightened her spine again, but cause some nerve damage to her leg, when I the myolein pleath of certain nerves was clearly destroyed during surgery. She lives with a constant "electric shock" in her leg...which we are hoping to fix as soon as we find an answer. Stay strong and I wish you the best.
