This doesn't relate to prostitution, but in Australia, what kind of authors do you read in high school literature classes? Like Americans, we read The Great Gatsby or The Sun Also Rises or Absalom! Absalom! Are there books that are considered "Great Australian Novels?" What are they?

The only thing I remember about Shakespeare is from Hamlet. The third sentinel, Marcellus' third line is, "Holla! Bernardo!" Our class made sure the black kid was Marcellus.

Thanks for answering!

We study a lot of the same modern novels. I did have to read some Shakespeare and Chaucer, so you reminded me that it's not all American stuff. Tirra Lirra by the River is one I've never heard of, and I've never heard of Tim Winton either.

It sounds like you guys lucked out. My schools had a very archaic way of teaching literature that included a lot of Hawthorne, Faulkner and Melville. It ended up making 99% of students hate reading books.

Second Life has been controversial for user rights mostly, right?

My older brother created clothing and other items for players to purchase in Second Life all through high school. When the controversy over user rights popped up, he saw his profits doubling every month for 4 or 5 months. It was insane. It helped him pay for his first year of college.

That game gets a bad rap, but the creative community seems awesome. Users fighting for their creative input and an entire commerce system built around the game. It really changed my brother's life and gave him a range of marketable skills.
