Hey Andrew, thank you so much for doing this AMA. I'm a huge fan of your show and I have to say you are one of the nicest guys on TV.

My question for you: I read about your past drug addiction, homelessness, etc. I was curious about your motivation to better yourself from a purse snatcher in NYC to the host of a successful TV show, a chef, and an author. I'm a person who struggles with Major Depression Disorder and this 'sudden strike of motivation' is quite foreign to me. Care to elaborate?

Well, I understood it as he didn't know that it was a "type of drug" as in it's not viewed as a "drug" there. From what I've heard (and I may be wrong), a lot of military personnel use it much like we would use coffee or tea. I think it's not a big deal in their culture
