Look up bucket mouse traps. They are practically free to reset and are highly effective. Drowns the mice though so if you have a problem with that look elsewhere. Also probably won't work for rats unless you make it very large.

Captainy is perfectly okay to say, and any English speaker would understand what you are saying. You just don't use words like that in formal speech. That is more of a cultural thing than something with the language.

There are 2 problems with rats. 1. The rat can reach the bait from the edge of the bucket and won't go on to the tripping mechanism. They will eat all your bait and then it won't work at all for mice either. Even if you design it where the rat will fall in, if you don't fill the bucket up enough they can jump out, and if you fill it too much they can climb out. Depending on the species of rat they grow from 1.5-2 feet long nose to tail.

A lot of languages swap decimals and commas. For example, $1,000.75 (one thousand dollars and 75 cents) would be written 1.000,75 YTL in Turkish.

Why are escape rooms so expensive? $30 per person for an hour or less just seems so expensive. İt doesn't even seem like operating costs are that high.
