Exactly how much do you loathe hospital food at this point?

Oh very well done! I like whoever chose that number :)

I'm glad to hear that along with our shared Monarch, we have equally vile and reprehensible hospital-located "nourishment".

Kudos on both your resilience and your literary work!

edit: Didn't spot an ePub variant, though I might just be blind. Kindles make me want to weep, so might there be a more friendly formatted variant in future ?

So awesome, thanks! I shall make you the second person I have ever followed on twitter in anticipation (assuming I can remember my logon details).

What tools do you use for ebook formatting/conversions? I tend to go for a mix of Calibre and Sigil, depending on what needs doing. As my eReader is dated to say the least, I often end up doing conversions and such in a (usually vain) attempt to get it to work properly. It's always the spacing and chapter breaks that mess up.

What are your thoughts on electronic formats versus good old fashioned paper? I'd imagine that given you're self-published, electronic formats must certainly have more benefits than they usually would, but I've no idea how one goes about self publishing an actual, physical book.

Sorry to pester you with so many questions, but authors are cool!

Now, my knowledge of the Battle of Hastings stems mainly from the rather excellent BBC R4 program 'This Sceptered Isle', so I might be more than a little shaky on the details. As I understand it, one of the contributors to the Norman victory was that they had armoured cavalry, relatively uncommon at the time, and certainly not present in Harold's diminished forces after their forced march across a huge chunk of the nation.

My question is how (if at all) will you have cavalry in the reenactment? I'd imagine it to be kinda tricky, and I feel the Health and Safety legislations have changed somewhat over the ages!
