Count her respirations per minute. Do it now while she is healthy and write down the number.

Here's the trick the doctor office does. Pretend you are taking her pulse. Say "I'm gonna check your pulse and put your finger on her wrist. For the first ten seconds you can count her pulse. Multiply times six and that's her heart rate. For the next 15 seconds, count her breaths by watching her chest rise and fall. Multiply by 4. That's her respiration rate.

If it gets too high she's in trouble.

Pulse ox also good if you can help it
