How useful is knowing the cost of care when most people don't have the option to shop around for services and few healthcare centers accept cash-only business?

What's candy like? Chewing Gum? Jelly Beans? Have you tried fizzy candy like Atomic Warheads?

Why does 'antisemitism' receive greater public attention over other xenophobic behavior despite jews being an extremely small group? Why does the media give sexism, bigotry, or even Islamophobia a free pass (i.e Donald Trump), but antisemitism gets called out almost immediately? For example, the BDS has come under fire by American politicians, but not other more prominent boycott movements.

Most people are paying for insurance which restricts where they're actually allowed to receive services. Knowing the cost of services at a competing facility is irrelevant if your carrier doesn't pay. Knowing what it costs in Mexico is irrelevant, if its just as costly to take a flight. It's even more useless if you're uninsured since no facility has cash prices. Are you expecting patients to make hundreds of phone calls to haggle a lower rate? That's incredibly unreasonable. There is also the amount of time it would take to locate a facility you can afford. What if it's an emergency? What if it's urgent? So yeah, most people do not have the option to shop around.
