If they give me some split screen co-op and fix the weird co-op quest acquiring and NPC conversing system, I'm all over console versions. If it's single player, I'm a sad panda.

If we do n new, original D&D product we would likely go with 5th Edition.

Dat Wizards license though. You guys would kick the ass of the guys who did Sword Coast Legends. They tried, but man, it was not executed well.

What are your thoughts of making something with a slightly more recent system? Acquiring Temple of Elemental Evil's license maybe?

Really, THACO is just really hard for me to understand and something along the lines of Dnd 3.5 or 4.0 or even Pathfinder ruleset would be amazing for me.

So I get that, and I know 3.5 rules really well. However, in 3.5 there isn't that weird negative nonsense (my brain has a hard time quickly calculating bonuses and what not)

For instance, In 3.5 I know off the top of my head that somewhat low level rogues and wizzys tend to have around 13-15 AC, and that to-hit for the dex and str npc's tend to be right around +3 to +5, resulting in a ~50% hit rate. I know if I see a beefy guy I can expect a +6-+9, meaning that, for the beefiest NPC's, there's a good chance my squishies will get hit, hard, and probably a 40-50% chance my better armored guys will get hit.

None of this requires anything other than some really quick math for me, almost brain-muscle memory.

The THACO system is uh... I just CANT think in those terms. My thaco-thinking goes like this: So uh... My thaco is 2, so, that means that if this NPC's has an ac of 7, then I would need to roll a 9, but wait, if lower is better then the NPC having 7 would mean I actually need to roll a 5 because... wait.. what?

What do npc's generally have insofar as armor at low levels? idk. How do other forms of dodging work? Idk. How does Dex/TouchAC/Any of that work? Idk.

Blehhh.

t's exactly why they changed it for 3e and up. I played a little Advanced and 2e but when it came to the IE gamrsbi never really thought about it as you don't typically km now the enemies stats. Which takes you back to the lower is better being all you need to know

It's like... it's like being given how far you are above average, without a standard deviation or a percentile. "I get that I'm 10 above average, but how does that rank me with everybody else?!' 'Well, you're 10 above the average person' 'GOD DAMNIT MAN YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HOW STATS WORK' "
