If Labor decided to "pull a whitlam" and block supply on the liberals, would you and the greens support that? Because right now Abbots just terrible.

The problem with GM isnt really about GM being bad for humans IMHO (I mean genes are genes right , 4 little amino acids in various combos), but rather industry practices around them. roundup ready and other pesticide/herbicide enabling GM mods have side-effects that stem from overuse of glycophosphates on the environment. We're better off building in natural insect immunity into the plant than natural pesticide immunity.

Theres also a reasonable concern about the impact of terminator seeds on traditional seed saving practices that traditional farmers have always relied on to be self sufficient.

If we had GM crops that increased yield, and increased pesticide resistance without requiring pumping terrible pesticides/herbicides all over fields and whacking essential bugs like worms/bees/etc , and farmers could keep the seeds and replant them, then GM would be the greatest thing in the world. But Monsant/etc aint going to go for that, cos wheres the profit in letting people keep seeds or avoid pesticides.

Experience around the world. In west australia its nearly $20 a packet of cigarette. Unsurprisingly we've also had a drastic reduction in the number of smokers.

No, he's saying the palestinians deserve either an unmolested state of their own, or that israel becomes secular and a home for both peoples.

I think ID is a straight up terrible idea. Identification is required at the point of registration so if someone votes more than once on a registration it'll be detected and compensated for. However requiring it on the day disproprtionately will disadvantage poor folks, young folks (already disadvantaged by the lousy rules howard brought in for voter registration cutoffs) , aboriginal and new citizens , all of whom just happen to be less likely to vote lib. The republicans in the US push this idea really hard because they've found it reduces democrat votes.
