Being an owner operator is actually very hard for a lot of drivers. Money management is a big problem. They get a paycheck and they pay on their truck but paying taxes is where they fall short. This happened to my uncle. He was driving and making money then when the taxman came calling he was short bc they didn’t keep any for taxes. Most drivers work for a company that owns their truck and dispatches them. It’s just easier as you can imagine.

How did you know you could just start your journey and feed yourself, stay safe, etc?

Bassem, have you ever made the decision to air a segment that you felt might put you in danger? Is it difficult criticizing those who don't appreciate it?
