It was confirmed by other parties, and many reviews posted on journalistic sites (the sites and said journalists called them such). To be clear, it is impossible for us to know if she was in the relationship solely to further her career. It is known, however, that it did further her career, and that her claims of doxxing were fraudulent (the doxxed phone was to some bicycle shop in Hawaii) and the harassment was mostly staged, and even then, the most number of real people was tiny. Wizzardchan was not even remotely involved, (really unlikely that people that talk about having debilitating anxiety when socializing would pick up a phone and spew death threats to some stranger), and the hatred thrown at them actually fitts the definition of harassment. #Gamergate supporters were even faster to report someone who threatened Brianna Wu than she was.. We, the Gamer Gate supporters, are not the problem. We actively police our own, and will not stand for harassment, racism, or sexism on either side. We are against censorship, and for ethics in journalism, and believe that if you call yourself a journalist, you are liable for your content being honest. This isn't some muddy issue, it isn't specifically complicated. A bunch of companies and individuals were revealed to behave in a disreputable manner, and lashed out when they were called on it. The people of #GamerGate won't have that shit. Meow.

Yup. Then the games journalists tried to bury the story, and spin it as an issue of sexism, instead of dealing with criticism. Try watching this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dbi-8rPShE
