Like 2FalseSteps said. Corporate lobbyists have gone out of their way to lobby for factory farm protections.

I've read a few stories of undercover reporters and/or protestors being arrested and charged for multiple offenses just for reporting violations on large factory farms. As well as legislation being introduced (and passed?) specifically protecting factory farms from reporters.

How long until what you do will be considered a felony with an automatic 10+ year sentence?

I worked with a P.I. at the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute about 10 years ago that was researching cannabinoids.

I remember him telling me it was damn near impossible for him to get Federal research funds. Do you run into the same problems getting grants?

I don't remember what exactly his field of study was, but our facility performed x-ray crystallography. Even with something so minor, he always ran into problems getting grants.

I would like to see a federal level system come through that makes is easier for people to legally obtain firearms and decrease black market sales.

So instead of fixing the multitude of current Federal systems already in place, you want to add yet another?
