Yeah, it's a pretty good Homm3 map. I spent a lot of time on it.

I know that you are supposed to find an economical reason why you don't want refugees in your country or city or whatever. But as someone who's lived in slums and collapsing apartments, sharing space with these people - I don't think I need a good reason. They listen to loud music, cook outdoors, have enough children to last them an entire winter and then some and borrow stuff from you but then look like you insulted their dead parents when you ask for it back.

And their parents are not even completely dead yet. Just to lazy to move. Like "Yay, we're in Sweden. Now let's wait for a good time when we can go back. And do nothing to contribute to our host country."

I'm speaking in broad strokes, of course. I know a lot of people who did their damnedest to be respected when they sought refuge. My physics prof was the nicest, wisest person I've ever met to this day. But his son? Drugs, car theft, almost killed another teacher. All in the name of Irak, because fuck America. Dipshit.

I feel bad for good people like my prof who get a bad rap from alllllll the other refugees, but ... bottom line, I just don't like most of the refugees I've met. They are straight forward with the fact that they aren't here to work. So they can fuck off.

Throwing my 1c in here - I don't have anything of value to hack. I would be sad to see my 448 post karma and 31,034 comment karma go away. But. Like. I don't really give a shit.

If someone hacks into my Google Drive, they will find a lot of porn. A LOT OF PORN. SO MUCH PORN. I have a 2GB folder with nothing but written erotica. I have a 7GB folder full of nothing but images. I have something like 68GB of videos, or something along those lines. I have never gone back to view them after saving them. It's like digital hoarding.

And then like one Heroes of Might and Magic 3 map that I made.

You are welcome to all those things.

Really? In Sweden some professors actually found it rude when I called them by their surname. It's first name all the way here.

We need honest news reporting of the crisis to ensure that the general public get insight into what life is really like for refugee children and their families

I take issue with this, because I've seen the reality first hand and it's not very impressive. Numbers of dead people is too abstract. And that story about that girl who watched her parents die is too intrusive and dull. Pictures of dirty water just make people go "Have some beer instead. It's not cleaner, but it doesn't have to be!"

You need proper PR, real marketing. A slogan, a catchy tune and king of all - an enemy which people can fight together with just a small donation. People love themselves an enemy. Refugees in trouble? Who cares. Enemy called you stupid? Sharpen the pitchforks.

Although I guess you already know this. But you know. To each his own.
