My question is for Laurent. First, I just want to say thank you for making so many amazing documentaries on the making of films. As a huge film and tv geek you have provided me with endless entertainment and insight into the industry. My question is, how does one start making a career out of retrospective documentaries like yours? Like what advice do you have for someone who wants to do what you do?

Got it, so its basically making stuff, networking, and timing. Second Question: Do you have a "film that got away?" Like some upcoming film that you really wanted to produce a retrospective documentary for but either someone else got it or there was a scheduling conflict. Then you watched the film later and thought "Damn, would have loved to have been on that set"

First, thank you for taking the time to answer questions and be here. I am an aspiring screenwriter living outside of California. I understand that L.A. is really the place one wants to be if they wish to be a screenwriter. However, I'm looking to secure a job as a Staff Writer if at all possible before the big move. What kind of things can I do to be a qualified candidate for a staff writer position that isn't the production assistant to writing assistant to staff writer track?

As a beginner in the industry, "NEVER SAY NO TO ANYTHING" is my mantra XD And yes I saw the trailer for the new IT movie, it looks good! Hard to replace Tim Curry, though. I hope I'm not being too greedy by asking a third and final question: At what age did you take the dive and move to Hollywood? I'm 23 now and looking for a job there so I'm not homeless when I move.
