This sounds incredibly similar to Military basic training. I'm in the Army, but I'm sure the other branches are the same way. We never really got any kind of rec time though, it was all training.

Marvel and DC very blatantly copy each other all the time, so I would love to know if this is just a kind of "Hey, it's different! wink wink nudge nudge" and they just each agree to let it slide and not sue, or if there are legitimately no grounds to sue in the first place.

Do you guys think there is any chance of the space elevator happening this century? I imagine that would make Ion propulsion infinitely more attractive by removing the need for chemical propulsion to get them started.

How do you feel about the different PT standards for males and females? Do you feel like this actually encourages equality in the military?
