I have a friend who gave people the option to opt in for baby pictures in social media. Default setting is that you dont see her baby posts, and if you specifically request, she will add you to a filter that lets you see those pictures and posts. I thought that was very elegant and conscientious of her.

Have you read Diana's Story, by Deric Longden? It's about his wife's life with myalgic encephalomyelitis. Another one of those ones that having a name at least makes it less of a mystery, if not better.
