You made documentation?

What kind of unholy programmer from the abyss are you? Don’t let our bosses find out or we’re screwed.

Software Engineer here. It’s all good until you get things like “Put primary pipe on top of bridge for customer X” and “Put primary pipe on bottom of bridge for customer Y” and the ever pleasant “No pipes allowed anymore AND we must meet all current client requirements”.

And when you point out that you can’t do both and definitely can’t do the third and satisfy customer X and/or Y you get something along the lines of “Surely there’s a way to do it... that’s your expertise”

if you can ever make the trip to iceland, i really recommend it.

That’s some great advice for the rest of us but since he’s an Icelander I would think he’s probably already there.

Be critical. But don’t equate.

I can see that Bob, for example, gorged himself on pie one day.

Not great. Not something I’d recommend.

Tim, on the other hand eats 4000 calories a day and his doctors are begging him to stop or he’s going to die young. And he encourages others to do so and says that those who want to lose weight are evil people.

There is zero excuse for anybody to point to Bob’s one time and say that obviously we should have Tim on the health and wellness panel as they’ve both overeaten and so they’re equally qualified

I believe it’s complete analytics. Every key, every heart beat, every metric.

Then you can crunch that data later.

“When I was writing my book what days did I have the greatest typing throughput cross referenced with the weather | prior nights sleep | caloric intake”
