The pushback question came up during the MO/Surrey/Lockheed press conference a few weeks ago, and the answer to that part was that the R&D lead time made it necessary to push it back a couple of years.

The other thing to consider with the push back is that if you have to push back a few months, you have to push back 26: the orbital periods of Earth and Mars are only conductive to an economical transit during windows that open up every 26 months.

If you're at end-of-life, ask your doctor about Toradol; it has side effects when taken for a long time, but... end-of-life...

It's the best painkiller I've ever had; better than any opiates I've ever had, with no "getting high" side effects.

Sorry, but I believe his expertise over some random guy on the internet.

Zubrin is a respected member of the aerospace community who has done EXTENSIVE work on Mars missions; he's literally considered to be the father of practical manned Mars mission designs.

I'm not dealing with the lives of others. As an applicant, I'm dealing with the life of me, and I would rather all the naysayers get out of the way and let me strap in and launch. If it turns out the naysayers were right, well at least I gave my life to advance humanity with real data instead of cautious inaction.
