You can get DNR tattooed on your forehead and life saving maneuvers will still be performed unless there's documentation on record and on scene that is legally valid.

Think of it in this very unlikely scenario: someone has an accident, is unconscious and bleeding out and some malicious actor puts a DNR bracelet on them because it benefits them or they're a sick fuck. If we honor that DNR bracelet without the legally required and binding documents, that's something of a problem.

Until medical chip implants become a thing far more widespread than now, DNR bracelets will only make us check your person for documentation. If we don't find it, we perform CPR.
