Your book sales are about to go through the roof....

How long did you plan this for before leaving? What was your planning process like? What advice about planning would you give to someone considering something similar?

Can you provide your initial full gear list as well as any supplementary gear you purchased along the way? Also what books would you recommend reading to prepare for a trip like this? Side note: my dad used to date a woman back in the 90's whose father walked across the country from East to West and published a book about his trip. I'm doing my best to remember his name and I will report back later if it happens

Speaking of battery life on your phone, have you stripped down your phones apps and settings to conserve as much battery as possible? What kind of phone are you using for this and what carrier is it on? Are you carrying extra batteries, battery cases, solar chargers, or any accessories of that sort?

I wish I could be there to see that.
