THIS I can relate to! While the bullying I endured did not manifest itself the same way as your situation, it was none-the-less relentless and ruthless. There wasn't one hour of the day when something wasn't happening to me at school. From ages 9-17 almost every day was a living hell. My mother didn't give a crap and any attempt to get help from teachers or authorities just made things worse.
There are few worse feelings in life than waking up every day and just knowing there is nothing you can do but endure the punishment, everything is completly beyond your control of your own life.

What was it like on the collective farm? Did you have to hide a lot for fear of being caught? How did you get into West Germany? Was it a big adjustment/culture shock to be in a western country?
