If someone says they are a parent, or the sole care giver of children, will you call CPS if they say they're suicidal or considering suicide? This is something that's held me back in my darkest moments... terrified that by calling and asking for help, it would very literally destroy my family. Maybe even for years to come... simply for asking for help during a bad, bad time.

What was the application and narrowing down process like? How do you get to be on a show like that? I'd love to know what actually happens between "Hmm show looks interesting maybe I should fill out this form" to, "I'm on the air for the first time"!

So weird! One of my best friends is also a double-lung-transplant success story... also around your age (maybe a few years older when he first received?). So probably had his first somewhere around age 25-26, and his second around age 29. Since then he met his wife and soul mate and is doing incredibly well. They just had their first IVF trial literally this week! We're all rooting for them. :D

I know that after his first he was convinced he'd never find a single person to be with him. I had a conversation with him where he said no one would ever love, "A borg" (with all his ports)... and sure enough it was just a few months later...
