I have been taking swipes at assistive tech every few years for a while and I STILL make stupid assumptions. Maybe a throat mike might work, but I've never worked with one.

 

That sha zam / X KEYS

I quit Windows dev a very long time ago, but I'm hoping that mouse and timing events are still easy. If so, you can program some very nifty things (like keydown). Combine that with

THIS

which can/could (IIRC) do better mouse events, and it gets extremely cool.

  1. I am incredibly frustrated about the FrogPad, because I have asked for hardware (on numerous occasions) to develop something just like this.

  2. You'll use earbuds and be happy about it! ;-) Really, though, ambient noise is tough to work around.

  3. Sha-zam!. They don't support Linux and that has been a P.I.T.A. for me for about a decade. But you can do some great stuff with them once they've been programmed. (The downside is, their programming software has been some of the worst software I've ever seen.)
