Ugh, and the weirdest of people that have carpeting in their BATHROOM! How can anyone think that is ok? I can't even keep a bath mat in there...

I am one of those people that fell into the trap of buying a cheap canister vacuum long ago and don't presently have the means to buy anything better.

My main issue with this vacuum is the main hose coming up from the roller brush housing keeps getting clogged and I have to dismantle it to get it flowing again. Is there any thing I can do to make things more effective in the short term?

Also, a second question with looking to upgrade soon; how do you feel about the Dyson line? I like the ease of the cordless vacuums and would be looking to get something on the higher cost/quality end.
