What the fuck makes you think that BLM skipped those steps?

Because a lot of those demands aren't reasonable. Hell a few of them are downright racist and the exact opposite of MLK's message. The dude ran around talking about people being judged by the their character, and not the color of their skin, yet a lot of those demands are based solely on skin tone.

People have been fighting for decades against police brutality, and black people are still being murdered by the police with no accountability.

This sentence is the exact opposite of the type conversation the Civil Rights activists attempted before sit-ins/marches. They knew that his sort of hyperbolic rhetoric was counter productive.

The issue with a lack of police accountability was around long before Twitter was. Headway was being made until a group of loud, disrespectful people started screaming about all police involved shootings of black suspects being unjustified and committed because of the suspect's skin color. When asked for evidence of the claims, "fuck off you racist piece of shit" isn't the expected answer.

Just because you only became aware of this a year ago doesn't mean it hasn't been going on since long before MLK's time.

You're making insulting assumptions about the very person you're trying to reach with your message. I've got better things to do then deal with personal attacks. It's no wonder you feel that people aren't listening to you - because we're not.

Any time a person from the media puts a question mark at the end of their headline/title, the answer is more than likely "No"

Based on this, and the fact that you work for the History Channel, I'm assuming the answer is "No, it was aliens".

How'd I do?
