Why should anyone trust a security research team from Russia given modern geopolitical situations?

I trust my people far more than I trust a geopolitical boogeyman that's led by a despot who owns the criminal organizations of his country, is counseled by Semion Mogilevich, and who is actively working to destabilize western democracy around the world. Say what you want about the NSA, but at least the NSA doesn't want the US and our allies to collapse and burn in division and civil war. Furthermore, how dare you compare the NSA to the Russian GRU or FSB? LMAO the NSA doesn't throw people into the gulag.
