It's almost impossible to sue for this type of thing. It happened to me, also. a week in jail with an 8 month pregnant wife after I did zero wrong. Charged with three felonies, paid $15,000 in various fees, mainly attorney fees, and the DA ended up dropping all the charges within just a few weeks. I wanted to sue, but you have to prove intentional malice or any LEO/DA is shielded from liability. It's an insanely high bar that effectively gives them a blank check to fuck you as hard as they want with zero repercussions. There ought to be some sort of fund for anyone who is arrested and has charges dropped or beats them at trial.

I was nine when I heard this story. Of all the CSI/Cold Case/First 48 style shows I've seen since (and there have been many), this one is probably one of a dozen I actually remember, presumably for the fact that it was a kid killing a kid and I was a kid. My question is: Do you think the notoriety of the case has made it harder to cope with, or do you feel like you've had access to more resources, or even just more ability to vent?

I've seen four documentaries on YouTube from mid-80's BBC to the Vice docs. Every tour is identical unless you have a basketball team with you. How do I get a different tour without a basketball team?

Was it all worth it considering what a shithole the US is now?
