I think it's a very noble cause you have taken up.
I'm just wondering though, what will be the consequences to the planet with overpopulation if the HIV/AIDS virus is eradicated?
Would it not create a situation far worse then that which virus has created?

But surely with the millions of people living and breeding instead of dying each year, there will be an unsustainable demand on the limited resources available; fossil fuels, food and especially water. This leading to famine, hyperinflation, and war as the masses vie for the limited resources left.
As cruel as this may sound, perhaps these viruses are essential to nature to manage humanity's out of control birth-rates.
