Was there a high risk of damage from the surgery?

Cool dude/ette. I worked for a PI for 6 years in a very affluent (celebrity ridden) area. Played a part in some really cool stuff. Wanted to do it myself but ultimately decided it wasn't the best life path for me. Quit and now I'm 1.5 years away from a physics degree and 2.5 years away from being a HS physics teacher!
