Have you ever heard of a cannabis-based remedy claimed to have strong anti-cancer properties called "Rick Simpson's oil"? Would you ever consider using it as part of a treatment plan or a preventative medicine regime?

I have read a lot of good things about it and I kind of wish I knew about it 20 years ago when a family member could have possibly benefitted from it, if it really works as claimed. That being said, I still think it's important to get professional medicine involved for something as serious as cancer.

When you've beaten the condition in the past, has it been sort of "that's it, cancer free for now" and no further treatment? Do you think it would be worth looking into the Rick Simpson oil as a preventative daily health supplement in between diagnoses (obviously in the hope that there isn't a "next time")?

I haven't read anything suggesting the Rick Simpson oil by itself is some kind of miracle cure, but there is a lot of scientifically proven evidence that many cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant have strong anti-cancer effects. It's not a matter of personal belief, there have been tests done that prove certain cannabinoids trigger "apoptosis" in cancer cells. In other words, they stop or slow the growth and reproduction of cancer cells by getting them to commit suicide while leaving healthy cells unharmed.

As the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Best wishes, and may nature continue to help you wherever possible.
