How much stuff did you take? There's a huge range in how lightweight people go.

It's not 1/16th but a washer for a dripping tap usually costs a dime or so but getting a plumber to come out and put it in will usually cost $50 minimum. It's a five minute job. People not prepared to do that level of maintenance themselves are better off renting than owning.

It's not hard to get calories with vegan food. I usually ride my bike eight hours per day. My standard fuel is peanut butter and a banana on a tortilla. Delicious and high energy.

Wouldn't cervical cancer caused by HPV count?

Any interest in bike touring? It's similar logistically to what you're doing, with the stealth camping, etc., but riding a bike is so much nicer than walking with a backpack. More freedom walking, though.
