Shameless is one of my favourite TV shows and I just bought Season 3 and watched the episode in the credits of which Jody blows himself and Karen walks in and asks him if "he blows himself". How do you not crack up when saying something like this? I mean, you obviously have to concentrate and be professional while saying your lines but other than that is it funny working on Shameless? Do you laugh much on the sets?

haha it's awfule, but when I have to be serious I just think "dead puppies." That always makes me straighten up.

Who's your favorite character in shameless and why is it Kevin?

I think you just answered this one for me. I like Kevin! I really miss the Mormon girl though... I hope she wanders back to Kev and V

I was just wondering if you at any point watched some of the UK version of Shameless before joining the crew? Also how was working with Zach McGowan? I honestly thought Jody's character was pricelessly funny and enjoyed your take on how he would be naturally exasperating to deal with at times.

I couldn't agree more. Karen was lucky to end up with a sweetheart like Jody. He's like a labrador. I did watch the UK version before filming. I spit my wine all over my computer when I realized what playing Karen might require.

I audition for things that challenge me as an actor. I like projects that make you laugh too. Shameless definitely is both!

Be yourself for one! and two, stay in class and plays. I find the more information and education I have, the easier it is to move forward with my career. The most important thing is not to give up. Brad Pitt didn't land a leading role until he was 26.

That's a hard choice! Acting is my baby, and music is lover! lol The most ridiculous thing on Shameless has to be shooting Lip/Karen love scenes in Southside chicago during the winter!

Did you actually do any nude scenes in the Southside? I can't remember if there are any on the show...

You had some pretty racy scene on shameless. Did you do anything to psych yourself up before those scenes?

You mean other than drink heavily? haha JKK! I can't say I ever got used to it, but I think as an actor you have to be willing to put yourself out there... your whole self ;-)

IDK! I hope so. You can check out Hard Drive, the newest indie movie I did right after Shameless. Debs sort of reminds me of Karen in some ways. She's high strung and has daddy issues

Who was your favourite Co star on shameless?

I thought have Louise Fletcher was pretty cool! Also, Amy Smart so lovely in so many ways

Hi Miss Wiggins, I was wondering if for your role in the 15th season of Law & Order: SVU if you met with any rape or assault victims or studied the clinical reports of rape victims to ready for your role in that episode?

wow! good question and memory! My dad is actually an attorney and my mama is a court reporter, so I've grown up hearing about student rape cases similar to the one in SVU. I was inspired by the girls who stood up for themselves and reported rape.

That's interesting. Thanks for responding. I have a follow-up if you read this: Did that role perhaps inspire any sort of activism for you personally? Do you talk to groups or do any fundraisers for rape victim causes? (Apparently Mariska Hargitay became a huge supporter of police forces and state labs testing rape kits in a timely manner to help victims find some sort of closure)

She's a very active spokes person for rape victims as well as for orphaned children. The best kind of person to have so much talent! I was lucky enough to work with a human trafficking charity with Anna Lynn McCord called Drawing Hope. I will help in whatever way I can! I just want to be sensitive to emerging leaders that are victims themselves and step aside

How hard was it to shoot the car crash scene on shameless? And how did you prepare for the following "brain damaged" storyline?

I was in the hospital earlier that year with Botulism, so I had some experience with catastrophic injury. I wanted to show someone that was freed from her demons... even if it means going the healing vortexes. I wonder if Karen is healed yet...

Some Shameless fans were upset when Karen was sent off with an ex that performed oral sex on her without her consent while she was unconscious and brain damaged. Any thoughts on how that played out?

Karen always liked the sexy time, so I think that it was in it's own Shameless way of consent. Frank on the other hand... he really didn't have much choice. I was happy to see Karen, Hamie, and Jody ride into the sunset.
