It happens because of the "them against us" mentality walking in when it's not needed or wanted. The guy was doing us a favor, there was no good reason to expose him. I hate people who fuck things up for the rest of us.

Instead someone had to get personal and try to fuck up someone's real life.

I think some people don't realize that he does have a life outside of his line of work and may have a family to take care of. Some people just don't think about the consequences of their actions. I've never understood people who are willing to risk the wellbeing of someone else's family.
